The North Face Women's Westoak Hooded Waterproof Trench Coat | Lightweight Rain Jacket for Commuting, Travel & Outdoor Activities

I knew the brand, but had never made purchase. With the promise of inclement weather, I wanted something to be safe in while on my brief walks during quarantine; and after receiving the jacket I got to test it on a rainy day. The jacket delivers on its repelling wind and water. And the zippered pockets, especially the inside one, are a win. However, in the strong winds, I could not get my hood to stay on without literally holding onto it. I plan on wearing with a hat or cap if it's raining in future. On a less important note, the drawstring on the inside to cinch the waist is a problematic feature; tying it in front creates uncomfortable pressure on stomach; tying behind cinches it too much; If I want to cinch it like model, I'm going to have to tinker with that feature.I purchased this for my daughter, who is 17 and loves her previous North Face. We sized it according to the sizing guide and it was a perfect fit for her. She doesn't like overly bulky winter coats (she's a teenager)... so, she absolutely loves this coat. It's warm without being overly bulky... and is a good rainproof coat.I usually wear a large and bought a large in this raincoat. It fits well but has room for me to wear a sweater or light jacket underneath. Provides a sleek silhouette not a bulky one.I really like this light weight rain jacket.This is a great raincoat BUT mine came with a defect. See pictures of the sleeves. The color is beautiful and the fabric is fantastic. Unfortunately I have to return it.Wore it in Alaska and it kept me warm and dryI’m 5’10, 160 lbs and bought a small. It’s perfect and I love it!Fits and adjusts well with drawcords. Would buy again in another color.
