I just got it and haven't tested it yet to see how warm it will keep me while watching my daughter play soccer. I wanted waterproof and warm and this coat definitely feels warm. I am 5'7", 34C chest and 36" waist and I ordered a medium. I probably could have gotten a small because it has some room unless I plan on wearing really bulky sweaters which I hardly ever do but we shall see about this winter. I will keep the size even though you cannot adjust the waist. I don't have a large head and the hood fits me perfectly without looking like a shower cap so not sure how the small hood would fit hence why I am keeping the medium. I have long arms and the sleeves are a perfect fit as well. The length hits mid-thigh for me.The jacket is high quality and heavy duty but I know not easily packable if you plan to take it on a trip. The snaps to cover the zipper is too heavy duty. I guess in case you get into a snowball fight or go tabogganning. The snaps will be a pain to use because they are not easy to snap close. The zipper is pretty heavy duty as well and not easy to put together but easy to zip up. I think it is so new that hopefully it will loosen up a bit and I get use to the length. The look of the jacket, I got black, is awesome and I can wear it to the city or a night out without looking like I am going on an Everest trek. You get what you pay for and and materials and make is high quality and the jacket is multi-functioning such as watching a soccer match or a night out in town. After reading a zillion reviews on how warm this coat is, I bought it for the NFL season (when it's normal again!) I wanted something water resistant. Also a little longer to cover my butt. I'm thrilled that the fur removes from the hood so I can take it off to prevent wet fur on wet game days. We have season tickets so I've had plenty of time to try all sorts of different coats. I have a bunch of puffers including some that are VERY heavy and this thing is in a league of its own. 2 minutes of trying it on in the house and I was dying, and I'm cold all year round. It's physically about twice as heavy as my next heaviest one, and I've done fine with that other one in below freezing temps, so this thing is gonna be unbelievable! It's fairly flattering for its weight too. I'm thrilled and can't wait to give it a true test drive!I am a HUGE fan of green so I ordered this color because it wasn't available in the store. I tried on a bunch of coats at Dick's Sporting Goods and knew I loved the North Face jackets. The coat fit exactly like the one at the store and it is so comfortable! I'm a teacher and avid hiker so I definitely needed a good waterproof and windproof coat that's comfortable during activity and keeps me warm. I love how this coat looks as well and having the removable fur/hood is a great option. The fit was great. I'm (5 foot 2, 120 lbs) very petite so a Small leaves me enough room if I want to add multiple layers underneath. Otherwise it's pretty roomy.Good quality parka, warm, wearing in Chicago right now where it is 30F. The only complaints are the zipper doesn’t go until the bottom and the neck part is very stiff so I am wearing it with a neck gaiter to avoid closing it to the top. Now I wouldn’t recommend buying from this seller. Je is listing it at $50 below the NF website price, but I received the parka with no tags at all so it is most likely a return.Jacket is lovely, however the wrong color logo was sent to me. Vendor readily accepted return and offered small compensation for my inconvenience. Very fair.I saw a review that said this coat is light. It is very heavy. So heavy, in fact, that it is hard to handle. I am not elderly but have severe arthritis. I had trouble donning this coat without hand and shoulder pain. I knew I would never be able to put it on a hanger and heft it up high enough to hang it in the closet. I am sure it is VERY warm, but I cannot imagine wearing it to accomplish errands around town or to go on a hike. It is so weighty that I would not want to wear it if I had to move around. It would be great for a sporting event sitting on cold bleachers for a long time. I returned it.Perfect for cold as well as wind. Cuter than puffer jacket plus fur is removableGreat fit, very warm, perfect for London weather. Stylish too!!The weather in Ontario was unexpectedly cold last week and I once stayed outdoor for quite long time. The coat is warm enough and its thick fabric really keeps wind out. The top of the zippier is not very comfortable though but still a great winter coat.
